Remember you can only exercise so much away.

A lot of people mistakenly think that if they exercise, they can eat anything they want. So they work out like maniacs and then wonder why they never make any progress. Or worse still, they wonder why they seem to be gaining weight even with all the time they spend in the gym. The problem is that while exercise is necessary for losing body fat, you can easily sabotage all that hard work with just a little extra food.

For example, a cardio session depending on an individual's weight, intensity, and body composition burns somewhere between 300 to 700 calories. Remember, to lose body fat, we have to create a caloric deficit. So if I sneak a few cookies in – say, eight cookies, two inches across in diameter, that's about 400 calories. If I only burned 400 calories working out, I'm only breaking even. I just wiped out that exercise deficit, and I'm not making any progress. If I eat 12 cookies, then I've got to work my way out of an excess of 200 calories!

And don't think that just because it's a protein bar, you can get away with it either. I know that an extra protein bar in addition to my daily caloric allowance means I have to spend another half hour on the treadmill, which would be fine if I had time to work out all day long.

So don't forget that nutrition is at least half of the fitness equation. In fact, some trainers will tell you it's 70 percent of the equation. Others say it's up to 90 percent! I'll leave that open to debate. Just know that you can only expect results if you pay attention to both your eating and exercise habits.

KakYang setuju sangat ni misreen. Good one. Kadang bila eksesais mesti makan terlebih pastu. Bakar calorie tak seberapa sangat. Biasanya lepas workout rasa lapar tapi sebenarnya badan nak air jek.

lepas exercise ler rase membara jer thp kelaparan... dah minum air pun masih membara lagi huhuhu nafsu2 :)
